Weekly Tours

Join us on a private walking tour of the East End!

Do you have a group of friends who would like to share a very unique experience?

A private tour gives you and your friends more time to explore the old haunts of Newcastle’s East End.

Join me in a walk around the first streets of the settlement of Newcastle. Maybe you will encounter the ghost of James Hannell, publican and auctioneer on Hunter street! We could walk past the site of the old Royal Hospital where the ghost of the matron can still be seen walking the old corridors. We will definitely be visiting the old Cathedral cemetery! You never know what old soul we shall encounter along the way. Have your camera ready!

Cost is $45 per person. MINIMUM OF FOUR PEOPLE – THURSDAY,FRIDAY, SATURDAY OR SUNDAY NIGHTS anytime from  6pm (winter time) – subject to availability.

Approximate Time: 2 1/2 hours

TESTIMONIAL Feb 2012: We can’t thank you enough for all the photos you sent!   Adrian ended up using every single one in his presentation.  He not only created a power point presentation of the ghost tour, but also used the video that he took during the tour and printed off a booklet of his presentation on “tea stained” paper for the teacher to mark as well.  He presented the power point this morning to his class and I went to the school to watch.  You would of been proud…I know I sure was!!!  The kids were at the edge of their seats and especially liked the videos!  They asked questions throughout the presentation as did the teacher.  They all felt that New Castle is a pretty cool and creepy place and want to go there now!  When the teacher asked what was their favorite part of the presentation some of the boys said the story about the two women that died falling off the “hill”.  They really liked the ghost meters and some shared their own ghost stories.  Thank you again for the incredible ghost tour, and all your help with this presentation…..it is an experience that we will never forget!!! – reprinted with permission of Lavonne and Adrian ( Canada )
